How one of Kobe Bryant’s final wishes is being fulfilled

One of Kobe Bryant’s final wishes will be fulfilled.

While aboard the helicopter which claimed the lives of the future Hall of Famer, his daughter, Gianna, and seven other victims, Bryant texted Lakers general manager/close friend Rob Pelinka — also, Gianna’s godfather — to help family friend Lexi Altobelli land an internship with a baseball agency.

Altobelli’s father, John — an Orange Coach College baseball coach — mother, Keri, and sister, Alyssa, were all killed in the helicopter accident.

After hearing Pelinka relay Bryant’s text during Monday’s public service for the Lakers legend, baseball’s most famous agent, Scott Boras, offered Lexi an internship, according to the Los Angeles Times. Lexi’s brother, J.J., is a scout with the Red Sox.

“Kobe’s last human act was heroic,” Pelinka said. “He wanted to use his platform to bless and shape a young girl’s future.”
